Seattle Seahawks Punch Postseason Spot with Thrilling Extra Time Triumph over Rams.

Game-winning play in overtime

Receiver Eric Saubert made the game-winning two-point conversion for the Seahawks.

The Seattle Seahawks engineered a stunning comeback to defeat the Los Angeles Rams in extra time, securing their place in the NFL play-offs.

Overcoming a 30-14 hole in the fourth quarter, the Seahawks triumphed 38-37 at home, registering their fifth consecutive victory.

While the Los Angeles had become the first to earn a playoff berth earlier on Sunday, the Seahawks secured their place to the postseason after a two-year absence.

With this result, the Seattle now lead their division's standings with a twelve and three record, replacing the Rams, who dropped to the fifth seed with an 11-4 standing.

Game Recap

Signal-caller Sam Darnold threw two interceptions but recovered to make two scoring throws, including the tying score to wideout Smith-Njigba in the extra period.

The Rams held a six-point advantage at the break before Kenneth Walker III broke free for a long scoring dash for the home side.

Rams cornerback Wallace then took back Darnold's initial interception for 56 yards, leading to a short score by Corum on the next play.

In the fourth quarter, a scoring pass from Stafford to Nacua extended the Rams' lead to 30-14, but Shaheed ignited the hope with a 58-yard return for a score.

Darnold then found AJ Barner in the endzone, and a successful conversion sent the game into overtime.

Although Puka Nacua scored for his another TD in overtime, Smith-Njigba answered in kind to setup the game-winning score.
